Medicare Recipients Take the Hit – Rx Prices Are Out of Control

The most frequent concern I hear from Medicare recipients is the cost of their prescription drugs.

I believe Medicare recipients enjoy the best health insurance options in the World – except in the area of self-administered prescription drugs. Part D drug plans often have high deductibles and lots of holes – most famously a donut hole you may have heard of.

Prescription drug prices have increased by 33% since 2014 according to a Good RX study. Americans pay more than three times what individuals in other countries pay for the same drugs. Combine this reality with the less-than-ideal coverage of Medicare Part D, and Medicare recipients take on a heavy portion of this burden.

But You Can Take Action!

AARP is calling on you to reach out to your congressional leaders encouraging them to support legislation allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices with pharmaceutical companies.

They have made it super simple. It took me less than one minute to complete. Click here to hop over to their site and get started.
